About the Role:
As an Assistant Depot Manager, you will support the Depot Manager in overseeing day-to-day operations, ensuring smooth and efficient workflows, and maintaining high safety and compliance standards. You will also lead and motivate a team to drive productivity and sustainability goals.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Assist in managing depot operations, including logistics, inventory, and team performance
2. Lead, coach, and develop a team to meet operational targets
3. Maintain high safety, environmental, and compliance standards
4. Support process improvements to enhance efficiency and sustainability
5. Ensure customer service excellence and effective stakeholder communication
Skills & Experience:
1. Previous experience in a supervisory or management role within logistics, warehousing, recycling, or a similar environment
2. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team
3. Knowledge of workplace health and safety (WHS) regulations
4. Problem-solving ability and a hands-on approach to operations
5. Excellent communication and organisational skills
6. Ability to obtain a forklift licence (or currently hold one)
