Meet your team
Our Investment Advisory practice provides a broad service including advice, monitoring, reporting and administration to a wide variety of clients, from high-net-worth individuals to institutional and not-for-profit clients. We cover a large range of asset classes and investment products, including listed securities and managed funds.
About the role
The Banking/Treasury Analyst is required to provide high quality banking support to the Investment Advisory, Superannuation, Family Office and Private Client groups. The banking tasks include electronic payment for securities purchased, term deposits, client requests, invoices, ATO fees and payments as instructed by clients.
Additional tasks include drawing/depositing cheques, reconciling and arranging manager and partner payment authorization to enable daily processing of payments. The role also requires an element of project support as the division is currently transitioning to new banking platform.
Key responsibilities
1. Creating client batches within the ANZ Transactive system or NAB Connect
2. Obtaining current account balances and preparing authorization sheets
3. Ensuring payment cut-off times are met
4. Creating new term deposits with the bank
5. Maintaining records relating to existing deposits in the Xplan system
6. Receiving and preparing cheques and verifying cheque requests
7. Writing manual cheques and obtaining authorised signatories
8. Printing reconciliation reports and signing off completed bank reconciliations
9. Filing all relevant paperwork as required
Who we’re after

Proven administrator
Previous experience in a banking or administration role within a financial planning/investment services environment. You will have strong administrative skills and are able to communicate confidently with stakeholders at all levels.
Relevant software skills
You will have advanced Microsoft Office skills and have experience working with financial planning software (e.g. Xplan)
Positive team player
You will possess strong attention to detail and the ability to work a part of a team is also a must. You will work closely with advisors and play a crucial part in the team.
