The ideal candidate will be a team player who will be responsible for leading a team through the entire product lifecycle from strategy to evaluation. You will also work cross-functionally to gain essential industry knowledge and skills and build strong working relationships with vendor and in-house teams.
A typical day may include:
Maintain an understanding of the vendor's competitive landscape and become the business's 'subject matter expert' for the vendor.Develop and maintain strong business relationships with a portfolio of customers to gain an understanding of their purchasing requirements.Meet with both vendors and resellers and assist with new business development and identification of new sales channels.Set a pricing strategy and create a channel management structure to foster customer trust and loyalty.Work with vendor partners and the internal marketing team in aligning the messaging for promotional activities, product launches, and showcases.Manage internal ERP functions to allow simple and streamlined ordering to keep adequate levels of stock on hand.Prepare communications related to business development opportunities, including proposals, quotations, and presentations.Work within KPI's to achieve the nominated sales and gross profit budgets.Work at trade & expo stands.Reporting as required.Skills and experience required:
High level of relationship building skills to maximise development of initial customer relationships and then longer-term business outcomes.Ability to sell a product portfolio to both external and internal stakeholders.Sound analytical and problem-solving skills and demonstrated ability to use various sales methods to reach the desired goal.Ability to understand, interpret and adapt to new technology of products.Demonstrated experience of proactive client engagement.Superior presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal.The ability to meet strict deadlines & work autonomously.The successful applicant will receive a competitive remuneration package, assistance with ongoing professional development, and the opportunity to grow and establish a rewarding career.
