Every day, Suncare employees are making a difference to real people and making people's lives better.Suncare Home and Garden Maintenance Worker - what's involved in the role?We are currently seeking a Part-Time Home and Garden Maintenance Worker (75 hours per fortnight) to actively support the individual needs of our aged customers who are living at home, either independently or with family. Your hours of work will be rostered Monday to Friday: 7am-3pm.In this role you will travel to our Hervey Bay customers' homes using a Suncare vehicle and trailer that is stocked with all the maintenance and cleaning equipment required to deliver general home and garden maintenance services.Some of your duties include but are not limited to: lawn mowing and hedge trimming, minor home repairs, water blasting, cleaning of gutters, changing light globes, cleaning air conditioning filters, cleaning windows and other duties and assistance in and around the house and garden.About youThe successful candidate will have relevant and recent experience working in a home and garden or maintenance role, preferably in an aged care environment, although not essential. You will demonstrate excellent communication and have the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.We want our customers to have a great experience with our people, and our people need to have a great attitude, be friendly, willing to learn new things, and most importantly listen and understand what the customer wants.You are required to be physically fit and have a valid QLD Driver's licence and a First Aid and CPR certificate.
