The Ideal Candidate: As the Senior Registered Nurse, you will act as the second-in-charge (2IC), supporting the DOC in overseeing the clinical operations of the facility and to step into the DOC role when needed. This role offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced registered nurse to advance their leadership skills while making a meaningful impact on residents and staff alike. You will be available to cover a rotating roster for 3-6 months. Key Responsibilities: Building strong relationships with families and providing guidance and support as needed. Conducting assessments of potential residents to ensure suitability for admission. Participating in an on-call rotation, being available for one week every fortnight. Attending and contributing to department visits to address care-related matters. Assisting clinical care staff in resolving issues and providing expert advice. Working on the floor as needed to ensure high-quality care and smooth operations. You will have: Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse. Aged care experience with a strong clinical background. Proven experience in leading and mentoring a clinical team. Competence in clinical documentation, care planning, and medication management. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire both staff and residents.
