About the role
Mater Private Hospital Mackay has an exceptional opportunity for an experience Clinical Nurse on a permanent full-time basis. This role will have a strong Surgical component with an interest in Women’s Health and Paediatrics. The successful person will also be required to do the post-natal course to be able to support the midwives.

Salary range: $49.88- $53.43 per hour (RN Level 2) plus super plus access to generous salary packaging
What you'll be doing
The Clinical Nurse (CN) position provides advanced clinical and problem-solving skills, expert planning and coordination skills in the clinical management of clients with complex care needs, ensuring quality standards are met.
This role works autonomously within the relevant healthcare team speciality and structure and is pivotal in the planning, managing and delivering of specialist nursing care. The CN provides clinical leadership for professional and clinical practice, education and research. The role supports in management activities including portfolio responsibilities where applicable.
About you
As the successful applicant, you will possess:
* Current registration with the Australian Health Regulation Agency (“AHPRA”) as a Division 1 Registered Nurse;
* Minimum of 5 years’ experience working as a Registered Nurse in the applicable healthcare team speciality
* Advanced level clinical and problem solving skills
* Planning and coordination skills in the clinical management of patient care
* Ability with work within a collegiate healthcare team structure
* Awareness of, and involvement with, the National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards
Desirable:
* Postgraduate tertiary qualifications applicable to healthcare team specialty
* Further / additional qualifications applicable to healthcare team specialty highly advantageous
