Job Summary
The Doorperson/Valet is a key member of the Fairmont Chateau Laurier team, providing exceptional service to our guests by offering parking assistance and promoting valet parking as the hotel's preferred option.
Key Responsibilities
* Noticeably positioned at entrances to provide parking assistance upon arrival and departure of guest vehicles
* Greet all guests arriving by vehicle, promote valet parking, or direct them to public parking services if preferred
* Ensure customer satisfaction by offering high-caliber service throughout the guest stay
* Store vehicle keys in a locked location and provide clear explanations of parking fees and benefits
* Complete thorough walk-arounds of guest vehicles prior to entering the garage, highlighting any damage on corresponding valet parking tickets
* Assist with information requests about hotel facilities, meeting functions, dining options, local transportation, and tourist attractions
Requirements
* Available to work weekends, evenings, and shift work
* Excellent verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills
* Team-oriented, customer-focused, and professional manner
* Valid Driver's License with no infractions
* Good command of the English language
Physical Aspects of Position
Frequent standing and walking throughout shifts; physical ability to operate a vehicle (foot pedals, gear shift, steering wheel)
