Your next opportunity The Contracts Manager is a key role focused on providing a highly effective, value adding business support function for large, national construction projects.Spanning both the pre-award and post-award phases of the business, this is a permanent, full-time role is to be based in Chullora.The position will involve negotiations with clients for favourable contract terms and conditions and will also serve as a key point of contact with the Boral Legal team.Your day will involve: Provide comprehensive commercial/contracts advice to management Provide timely and comprehensive review on a wide range of client contract terms and conditions, identifying non-favourable clauses and leading client negotiations and drafting as well as finalisation of contract documentation Actively participate in the handover from tender to project execution Ensure ongoing compliance with Boral's Contracts and Commitments Policies and Procedures Assist production personnel in investigating and responding to claims, assessing our level of responsibility based on contractual provisions, quantifying claim value and finalising any claims Manage the contracts formation function with subcontractors and suppliers Develop and maintain contract database Monitor and review subcontractors/suppliers compliance and performance.What are we looking for?Demonstrated experience in a similar role Proficiency in structuring contracts and drafting legal provisions Strong level of experience and knowledge in contract law and relevant experience in contract negotiation Experience in a contracting environment along with managing numerous different forms of contract Building and construction industry experience highly desired Tertiary qualifications in Quantity Surveying, Law, Engineering or Business.What's on offer?Permanent, full-time opportunity with a stable business Access to SkillBuild, an online Learning & Development platform where you can access training resources for your personal and professional growth Access to a variety of support networks including Boral Employee Assistance Program Work for a values-based business that shares goals and celebrates individual and team success Work for an Equal Opportunity Employer – At Boral, we understand that diversity brings many benefits, and we are increasingly encouraging greater diversity within our workplaces We are Australian-owned and operated.#LI-JV1
