Based in our Applecross head office we are currently seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Accountant who will play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial information. As a key member of the team reporting into the CFO, you will contribute to the organization's financial success through your expertise in financial reporting, cashflow management, budgeting, statutory reporting, forecasting, and taxation. Tasks & Responsibilities Compile and deliver statutory reporting and other external reporting requirements. Comply with all statutory obligations, plans and actions to ensure corporate governance. Develop and maintain a detailed set of policy guidelines to ensure appropriate controls which strike an acceptable balance between risk and reward. Improve procedures and controls with appropriate use of defined company accounting policies, general ledger, reconciliations, intercompany accounts and tax effect accounting. Advise and assist implementation of proposed new finance systems that allow the efficient delivery of financial requirements and simplify the reporting process. Collate financial and accounting information and prepare required financial reports. Prepare validation via reconciliations including roll-forwards of goodwill, intangibles, equity, retained earnings and other accounts as required. Manage day to day activities relating to Insurances, Audit, and Cashflow. Engage with outsourced AP, AR, and Payroll stakeholders. Assist with mapping and documenting financial structures. Engagement with Management Accountant and CFO for EOM and EOY accounting close process. Skills and Experience Tertiary qualification in Accounting / Finance and/or Business or other related discipline required. CA or CPA qualified. Proven experience in a financial and commercial role managing a complex, diverse, multisite matrix business, with regular communication to senior executives/business leadership. Analytical and technical accounting skills and a flexible approach to problem solving. Experience in financial/management accounting practices and processes. High level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel and management of spreadsheets and monthly reconciliations. Understanding of internal and external audit requirements.
