The Palais Royale Boutique Hotel is seeking a passionate and dedicated Cook to join our culinary team. As we expand our dining offerings, we are looking for an enthusiastic individual ready to contribute to our breakfast, lunch, and Banquet services, ensuring a delightful experience for our guests.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, ensuring exceptional quality and presentation.
2. Assist in menu planning and the creation of specials that align with current food trends.
3. Assist in stocktaking and ordering supplies to maintain a well-stocked kitchen inventory.
4. Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen, adhering to food safety and hygiene standards.
5. Collaborate with the Food and Beverage team to ensure timely and efficient service.
6. Contribute to a positive team environment, fostering collaboration and communication.
Qualifications:
1. 2+ years of experience in a similar cooking role or culinary environment.
2. Strong understanding of food safety, hygiene standards, and OHS practices.
3. Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks under pressure.
4. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality and consistency.
5. Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
6. Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
7. Flexibility to work various shifts, including early mornings, late nights and weekends.
