We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Accountant to join our dynamic team. This vital role involves providing support to Finance Officers and Principals across our schools, ensuring efficient financial management, compliance, and accurate financial reporting. This is a full-time ongoing position based in West Leederville commencing as soon as practicable. What we can offer you: Salary range for this position is I1 to I4 on the CEO salary scale ($110, 590 - $123, 848 full time per annum) plus superannuation. 5 days additional paid leave when the office is closed (over Christmas and Easter). About you: Strong interpersonal skills. A service mind-set to provide the necessary service standards to Catholic Schools in Western Australia. Demonstrated experience of working effectively within teams to achieve objectives. Demonstrated ability to prioritise work, take initiative, and meet deadlines. Extensive experience with management and financial accounting. Experience in preparing for external financial audits and liaising with external and internal auditors. Experience in financial procedures including accounts receivable, accounts payable, preparation of Business Activity Statements, and general ledger processing. Sound knowledge and demonstrated ability of relevant accrual accounting practices. Sound computer skills and knowledge including experience in financial programs, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Internet Applications. Relevant tertiary qualifications in a business discipline.
