The Opportunity
We are seeking a SCADA Design Engineer to join our highly experienced SCADA Engineering team and develop high quality designs for high voltage substations and associated power system equipment.
You will spend a majority of your time designing and configuring but also be hands on testing in our on-premises facilities and on site. Devising designs that are compliant with client and industry standards, as well as provision of assistance with preparation of tenders, will also be a key responsibility in this role.
Joining our SA Engineering Team, and working closely with four other highly experienced SCADA Engineers and will produce protection control designs and concept designs for substations and overhead lines.
Bringing your experience with High Voltage systems, you will be an integral part of our team and play a big part in the success of the various flagship projects CPP have won.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
* Tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or equivalent
* Turnkey project expertise in high voltage substation design from concept to commissioning including knowledge of industry and different client standards
* Experience in specifying and configuring SCADA systems in a substation environment
* Working knowledge of different SCADA and Communications products used on substation projects
