We are seeking a passionate and dynamic hospitality and events professional to join our team on a full-time basis.
Our ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in the hospitality industry and possess a strong desire to create exceptional experiences for our patrons and guests.
You will oversee the smooth running of non-race day functions, events, race day hospitality, and the kitchen.
This role is operationally focused and will require a hands-on approach.
You will also be the primary point of contact with clients and guests and must demonstrate exceptional customer service and communication skills.
The role requires a person who is comfortable dealing with people, has a high level of attention to detail, and has a sound understanding of function catering, event coordination, logistics, and operational delivery.
This role will manage all catering outlets, functions, and packages on race days.
During functions and events, you will operate independently, be the client's primary contact, and take responsibility for the smooth and effective running of the event.
You will also secure and alarm the venue at the end of the day.
You will also be expected to assist in setting and resetting the function rooms for functions, events, and race days.
There is a requirement to manage / liaise with the chef to ensure that food quality and menu offerings are up to the required level.
This role is also responsible for ensuring that all retail prices for menus and packages are correct and profitable and that retail prices are loaded into the POS system.
