Facility Maintenance - Coffs Harbour!
About The Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and well organised maintenance specialist to oversee and manage the day-to-day maintenance activities at Baringa Private Hospital. As the Facility Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for:
* Ensuring relevant infrastructure statutory and safety requirements are met including the continuity of essential services,
* Planning, managing and delivering multiple preventative maintenance and service contracts,
* Assessment and coordination of reactive maintenance works and repairs,
* Managing and directing the hospital-based maintenance team and the work of external contractors, including inductions and completion of work permits.
This is a full-time site-based role, located in Coffs Harbour which will be required to work closely with our Port Macquarie based Maintenance Manager to oversee, coordinate and manage regional efficiencies for infrastructure contracts and maintenance planning.
About You
To succeed in this role, you will need to possess a strong background within maintenance services. You will also demonstrate prior experience in leading, coaching, motivating and developing a team to achieve results. In addition, your exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage stakeholder relationships at all levels will be key.
You will also bring:
* Previous experience in commercial facility maintenance, preferably hospitals.
* Proven experience in external contractor management including negotiation of maintenance contracts.
* Experience managing defect and warranty periods.
* Ability to effectively oversee planned maintenance programs and reactive maintenance tasks.
* Demonstrated understanding of commercial buildings including Hydraulics, Mechanical and Electrical systems.
* Knowledge and understanding of accreditation/certification processes and contractual and statutory laws and risks.
* Prior experience in leading, coaching, motivating and developing a team.
* Ability to manage conflicting priorities and to organise human and material resources to achieve results.
* Effective interpersonal and communication skills to provide clear advice, instruction and needs.
* Sound mechanical aptitude and demonstrated problem solving skills.
* Demonstrated understanding of WH&S requirements and Contractor Management.
* Intermediate computer skills.
Essential
* Management experience in a similar role.
* Relevant Trade Qualification or Certificate.
* Cert IV in Fire Systems Compliance.
* Qualification/completion of relevant training in Issuing Work Permits, Fire Safety and Asbestos Safety.
* Valid Licenses – Drivers Licence, Working at Heights and White Card.
