Maison Saint Honore in East Perth is looking for a passionate Pastry Cook to join our team. If you have expertise in crafting various bread types and a dedication to producing top-quality loaves, we want to meet you.
Responsibilities:
1. Prepare and produce a wide variety of baked foods such as cookies, pies, croissants, Danish, breads, and rolls, following traditional French and modern recipes.
2. Develop, design, and create new ideas and items for the business.
3. Manage all day-to-day operations of the pastry and bakery section of the kitchen.
4. Maintain a lean and professional work environment and adhere to health and safety standards.
5. Ensure food quality and taste consistency.
6. Manage kitchen inventory and ordering supplies.
7. Collaborate with management and team to meet business and customer service goals.
8. Train and supervise junior kitchen staff and apprentices.
9. Adapt to busy environments and maintain high performance under pressure.
Qualifications and Experience:
1. A minimum of 2 years of professional experience in a similar role.
2. Relevant qualifications in hotel management, pastry, or culinary arts.
3. Good knowledge and understanding of different types of pastry, breads, desserts, and cake decorating.
4. Excellent communication and leadership skills.
5. Ability to work flexibly, including weekends and evenings.
