About the School Precinct P is a cluster of schools located in the rapidly growing northern corridor of the Gold Coast. The five schools are committed to working collaboratively to improve student engagement, wellbeing and learning outcomes for every student in the Precinct. About the Role Precinct P is seeking a dynamic leader to lead this pilot project. This role will work across five schools, building partnerships with community groups and outside agencies, designing and leading on-site and off-site programs, and monitoring student outcomes. The Head of Department - Student Engagement role requires a leader who is dynamic, agile and committed to success for every student. As the Head of Department - Student Engagement your responsibilities will include, but are not limited, to the following: Work closely with staff across the Precinct to identify students to engage in the project and monitor their progress. Build partnerships with community groups and outside agencies to support off-site programs and engagement of students and families. Collaborate, lead, and manage as required, on-site and off-site programs to support students with engagement, behaviour and wellbeing. Build capability in a team of staff across the Precinct to engage students in school. Manage responsibilities relating to student wellbeing, attendance, engagement and behaviour. Monitor and report on the progress of students involved in the project and the project overall. Please refer to the attached role description for any mandatory requirements for this position.
