Join our Class Support team for the opportunity to support delivery within our various Skills Teams.
A General Assistant – Tool store role is responsible for providing high level customer service to support the effective and efficient delivery of frontline class support. Your day-to-day activities will include but not limited to supporting students by contributing to a positive learning experience, general administration work, purchasing and organising tools, equipment and materials for students and staff.
This position will carry out manual handling activities and may be required to work to a roster. You will be working within the Automotive team, and occasionally across Building and Construction or Metal Fabrication teams at our Griffith Campus.
About You
You have demonstrated experience working within a trade environment, using a range of hand and power tools and able to conduct minor repairs and maintenance. You have a positive can-do attitude and a willingness to share your industry knowledge and support our students.

Essential Criteria
1. Demonstrated experience working within a trade environment or related work areas.
2. Demonstrated experience in all aspects of purchasing within a trade environment.
3. Demonstrated experience in use of hand & power tools, small machinery, and tool maintenance in a trade environment.
4. Demonstrated ability to work as a team member or with limited supervision.
5. Ability to address and meet focus capabilities as stated in the Position Description
Highly Regarded
1. General capability with a demonstrated ability and willingness to stay on top of e-mail communications, timesheets, rosters and other ad-hoc administrative tasks
2. Demonstrated experience to follow WH&S instructions such as using correct PPE and following Safe Operating Procedures (SOP).
3. Forklift license (or willingness to obtain)
