As a Social Worker/Senior Social Worker with Key Assets, you will:
Provide regular support to our foster carers, working closely with them and the children/young people in their care, in a trauma-informed, family-centered and culturally sensitive way.Using the Key Assets Practice framework alongside other evidence-informed practice and evidence-based programs, work with clients to collaboratively engage them in identifying issues/needs and setting goals to build and strengthen their capacity and address areas of risk to ensure safety of children and young people.Supporting and coaching foster carers to learn and grow in confidence and ability guided by the Key Assets Practice Framework for Foster Care, and in adherence with organisational and Departmental legislation, policy, procedures, standards and competencies.Undertake Foster Carer Assessments as required.Please refer to the Position Description for further details.
About you To help us grow our services in Canberra, we're looking for Social Workers, Case Workers and Senior Social Workers who come with:
Degree or Master's in Social Work (or similar).Eligibility for registration with AASW (desirable).Prior experience working with and/or on behalf of children, young people and families.Experience in undertaking comprehensive assessments to develop, implement, monitor and review client plans.Knowledge of various Child Protection Legislation, Government initiatives and agendas across ACT.Tenacity, diligence and resilience - with the ability to adopt a creative approach to problem solving in a fast-paced environment.What's on Offer? The salary for Social Workers/Case Workers is $94,915 - $102,120/annum (1.0FTE inc. super). For Senior Social Workers, the salary will be $108,575 - $113,488/annum (1.0FTE inc. super).
