Position Description:

Our latest opportunity is for a Technical Business Analyst to support business transformation projects for the Tasmanian Government. In this diverse role you will wear both the business analyst and testing lead hats, across major projects impacting the lives of everyday Tasmanian citizens.
We offer flexible work and a hybrid work environment to promote work-life balance. We request a minimum of 2 days per week in our office/ client site. We can also offer this position on a part-time basis for those seeking 30.4 hours per week.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
•Understand and define business requirements, including discovery, documentation, process flows, use cases, test and training plans
•Evaluate existing business processes and identify and share opportunities to re-engineer and automate
•Recommend business strategies for the application of new technologies
•Establish acceptance criteria in collaboration with the client and develop test processes and artefacts
•Participate in the development of implementation strategies and partake in implementation phase
•Participate in pre-sales activities including tenders.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
•Excellent consulting skills, comfortable with high level stakeholder management
•2+ years’ experience as a Business Analyst/Systems Analyst or related role in the ICT sector
•Experience in technical writing/documentation, including use case and functional/technical requirements definition, process flows, screen designs, HLD/technical designs and specifications
•Experience in testing
•A solid understanding of application development principles, including the SDLC, testing and data fundamentals
•High-level analytical, investigative and critical thinking skills
•Excellent interpersonal, communication and writing skills
