The site operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Job Tasks and Responsibilities Ashton Coal Operations are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Shift Supervisor to plan, coordinate and supervise the operation of the CHPP and mobile equipment.
Duties will include: Leading by example and working with the CHPP team to continue to build an inclusive safety culture through coaching, mentoring and demonstrating behaviour aligned to the Ashton Cultural Standards Being a key driver in delivering site targets by executing the scheduled work plan and supervising CHPP personnel in accordance with site standards and associated legislative requirements Ensure all workers on shift under your direction aware of and compliant with standards and policies/procedures Operating plant and equipment as required Encourage continuous improvement initiatives from your crew Carry out weekly safety inspections in areas of responsibility Complete shift reports, timesheets, incident and monthly reporting in an accurate and timely manner Skills and Experience To be successful in securing this role, you will possess the following: Minimum 3 years industry experience in maintenance or production in a Coal Handling and Preparation facility Trade qualification - Electrical/Mechanical or related discipline Supervisory experience in a production or maintenance environment with the ability to lead and manage change Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Demonstrated skills in risk management, hazard identification and improvement of safety performance Strong problem solving skills and the ability to work autonomously Sound computer literacy and ability to effectively use MS Office programs such as Excel, Word and PDF Demonstrated can do attitude and experience in having a positive impact on crew culture Demonstrated skills in driving operational excellence Available to work a rotating shift roster Experienced in the operation and/or maintenance of wheeled loaders, dozers, dump trucks and graders (advantageous) Benefits We offer competitive remuneration packages for our roles.
