The Opportunity:

This generalist role covers everything from recruitment and learning development to performance management and policy development.

What You'll Do:
Reporting to the Senior HR Advisor, you will:
* Provide key HR administrative support to the HR team.
* Assist with HR consultations to address internal stakeholder queries.
* Support the end-to-end recruitment process, including writing job ads, sourcing candidates, phone screening, and conducting police and reference checks.
* Interpret modern awards, enterprise agreements, and individual agreements.
* Ensure accurate communication and data flow between payroll, HR, and other departments.
* Collaborate with the HR team on projects and initiatives to drive continuous improvement.
Role Details:
Location: This position is based in Barcaldine with regional work and travel as required.
Classification Level: Level 6.1 of the Queensland Local Government Industry (Stream A) Award - State 2017, and the Barcaldine Regional Council Certified Agreement 2022.
Wage: Minimum base salary of $84,438.64 per annum + Superannuation (up to 12%) and relevant approved allowances.
Payment of Wages: Council employees are paid fortnightly.
Hours of work: 72.5 hours over 9 days with a rostered day off every fortnight.
Leave: Five (5) weeks annual leave per annum + 17.5% loading. Fifteen (15) days Personal Leave (sick leave) per annum.
