Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare accurate and timely financial reports to guide decision-making and support strategic financial planning across the business.
* Oversee the month-end close process, ensuring all reconciliations, journal entries, and financial records are accurate and up-to-date.
* Manage payroll processes to ensure accuracy and compliance, while providing clear, concise payroll reporting.
* Prepare and lodge compliance reports, including BAS, Payroll Tax, and Work Cover, ensuring all statutory obligations are met.
* Develop and manage budgets that align with business goals and ensure financial sustainability.
* Assist with audits and support the company's tax compliance efforts.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to implement cost-effective financial policies and strategies, while mitigating financial risks.
* Maintain financial records with precision, ensuring the confidentiality and integrity of sensitive financial information.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will hold a bachelor's degree and CA/CPA qualification. You will have 4+ years of experience within public practice (audit, tax, advisory) with a strong understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting. Experience with inventory management accounting is advantageous.
You will be proficient in financial software and Microsoft Excel - Xero is beneficial. A high level of attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills are essential. Exceptional organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, are also required.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are necessary for this role. A solution-oriented mindset with a focus on continuous improvement, always looking for ways to optimise processes and contribute to the company's growth and success, is highly valued.
