The key duties of the position include The Role The Logistics Officer supports the end-to-end supply chain processes for all Loan Repair Pool items at the Joint Logistics Unit (North Queensland). This includes, but is not limited to consultation with internal and external stakeholders such as military personnel, fleet managers and industry partners. This position assists in the provision of warehousing and issuing of loan equipment in support of ADF Operations and Exercises. This position is part of an integrated workforce that consists of industry partners, Commonwealth and ADF employees. The Logistics Officer is required to manage and analyse a large amount of data, using spreadsheets and reports. About our Team Joint Logistics Unit (North Queensland) is an enthusiastic and caring mix of military and civilian employees who are passionate about supporting soldiers, sailors and aviators across North Queensland. The team is made up of people with a range of backgrounds, skillsets and experiences, all drawn together by the desire to support the work of the ADF. The unit is dedicated to delivering essential logistics services including warehousing, distribution, equipment maintenance and clothing store support to enable military operations. It does this from modern facilities on Lavarack Barracks in Townsville. Joint Logistics Unit (North Queensland)'s span of responsibility stretches from Rockhampton in the South, to Thursday Island in the North. The unit utilises a broad range of internal skills, together with close relationships with local industry suppliers, to provide excellent logistics support to a wide range of military units across North Queensland. Experience in a similar role, in particular logistics, warehousing and/or inventory. Ability to coordinate the workflow of a small team, including monitor work practices, set priorities within the work area, develop processes and champion improvement opportunities. Good interpersonal skills; ability to liaise with internal and external stakeholders on moderately complex operational and administrative matters. Strong time management skills, including the ability to prioritise a changing workload and negotiate an outcome. Assist in the delivery of projects as directed by relevant authorities.
