The role:
The ETL software engineer will be responsible for designing, developing and optimising data pipelines to support the Establishment Register modernisation project. This role will focus on data transformation, integration and ensuring scalable and efficient data workflows across the organisation. The engineer will work closely with the team, data architects and system developers to facilitate data migration and modernisation efforts.
Key duties and responsibilities
* Design, develop and maintain ETL pipelines for data extraction, loading and data reconciliation.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into data models and processes.
* Work with Azure Cloud services to implement and manage data.
Skills and experience Required:
* Experience in building, optimising and managing ETL processes for large-scale data transformations.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Azure.
* Strong skills in SQL, .NET (C#) for ETL development.
* Experience working with APIs, JSON, Parquet and other data exchange formats.
* Experience with Azure DevOps, version control and CI/CD pipelines for automated deployment.
* .NET and C# for API and back-end development.
