We are seeking a skilled and personable (onsite) AV Technician Concierge to join our team where you will provide top-tier audio-visual support to ensure seamless technical experiences for our clients. This role is a hybrid of technical expertise and customer service, ideal for a proactive individual who can troubleshoot and maintain AV equipment, assist clients with their needs, and contribute to a smooth, exceptional onsite experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Support: Set up, operate, and troubleshoot AV equipment, including displays, unified conferencing systems, audio devices, microphones, and control systems.
Client Assistance: Serve as the main point of contact for the client, assisting them with any AV or tech requirements and ensuring all events run smoothly.
Maintenance: Conduct regular inspections, maintenance, and testing of AV equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimise downtime.
Event Support: Collaborate with event coordinators to understand AV requirements for various events and presentations; provide technical support throughout.
Troubleshooting: Quickly diagnose and resolve AV-related issues to minimise disruption.
Documentation: Maintain accurate logs and reports for equipment usage, maintenance, and any technical issues.
Training: Provide basic training and guidance to users on AV equipment and systems as needed.
Key Experience & Capabilities:
A minimum of 3 years’ experience in an AV technical support role.
Technical certification in AV or a related field is preferred.
Strong interpersonal skills with a client-focused mindset and ability to work effectively under pressure.
Proficient in operating AV systems, video conferencing technology, and troubleshooting AV hardware/software issues.
Commissioning, programming knowledge and experience is beneficial.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to handle multiple tasks and adapt quickly to changing needs and environments.
Excellent communication skills and customer-focused attitude.
Excellent time management and organisational skills.
