The acquisition of conventionally-armed, nuclear-powered submarines is a historic and transformative endeavour for Australia. The whole-of-nation effort to safely and securely deliver the cutting-edge nuclear-powered submarine program will transform Australia’s economic and national security landscape for decades to come.
The Sovereign Submarine Program Delivery (SSPD) Branch of the Australian Submarine Agency (ASA) seeks an expert, motivated Build Assurance Manager to join our Adelaide team. The Build Assurance Manager is accountable for developing, coordinating, and reporting on the SSPD build assurance program.

About our Team
Within the ASA, SSPD is accountable for delivering Australia’s SSN-AUKUS class submarines from a new, purpose-built submarine construction yard in Osborne, South Australia. SSPD consists of the following directorates: Business and Operations, Build, Test and Evaluation, Commercial Management, Engineering, and Shipyard Infrastructure. The Build, Test and Evaluation Directorate of SSPD is responsible for assuring delivery of Australian SSN-AUKUS submarines that meet the approved design safely and efficiently while complying with the cost and schedule agreed with Government. The team will assure that each submarine has been constructed, activated, and tested in accordance with the design prior to entering Royal Australian Navy service.
