About the team & the role: The Industry team is a key to helping the division achieve these opportunities. The Industry, team looks to connect the businesses strategy with the distribution channel through influencing policy and its implementation to create tangible outcomes. The Team will achieve this by working with the business and market to identify key gaps in our industry strategy and to address identified gaps and meet customers and enterprise expectations. As a Senior Strategy & Insights Manager will be responsible for supporting the Senior Manager Industry in connecting businesses strategy with the distribution channel through influencing policy and its implementation to create tangible growth outcomes. The Senior Strategy and Insights Manager will achieve this by acting as a Subject Matter Expert for industry, identifying industry and market trends, conducting research, and partnering with internal and external stakeholders to influence industry strategy. The Senior Strategy & Insights Manager will report to the Senior Manager Industry & will also work closely with members of the Business, Corporate, and Agri Banking Executive Team, Credit, Product Owners, Group Strategy, Front Line Bankers and Industry stakeholders. In this role you will get too: Drive adoption of impactful industry initiatives across the division i.e., a lens across both Rural and Business. Deliver sustainability growth initiatives Partner with key stakeholders to ensure Rural and Business Industry needs are reflected in the shaping of industry policy Partner with key stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of industry initiatives across the division Identify areas for continuous improvement and refinement of industry policy, and share industry feedback and partner with stakeholders to ensure policies are relevant in market Contribute business SME knowledge to technical solution design and alignment, delivery planning. This includes working across silos and project teams where appropriate. Develop and deliver critical initiatives across the Division To be successful in this role you will have: Commitment to improving Business Customer Experience and continuous improvement Strong knowledge of financial services and banking industry, financial services products, services, channels, competitive dynamics, and customer behaviour trends A curious and consultative mindset with an appetite for solving problems and working with ambiguity A proven track record in strategic initiative development, or consulting preferably in the financial services industry Conducted comprehensive market analyses including competitor assessments, and industry trend identification The ability to analyze financial performance metrics, including profitability, and revenue growth Develop financial models to assess the impact strategic initiatives and investment decisions In-depth understanding and experience in one of the commercial, corporate, and agricultural banking sectors Excellent communication, influencing, and presentation skills Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and development of C-Suite strategy documents This is a full time, permanent position can be based in Melbourne, Adelaide or Bendigo.
