Financial Accountant Needed, Temp/Contract, Ongoing, Great Rates and Potential Your new role As an experienced Financial Accountant, your duties will include, but not limited to the following Assist in the management of financial reporting requirements, including cashflow, balance sheet, profit and loss, management reporting and other Group Reporting requirements Assist in the management and preparation of journals to ensure all month-end and year-end transactions are posted into the general ledger Gather and monitor financial data (e.g. sales revenue and liabilities)Monitor and report on accounting discrepancies and errors Assist in forecast cost and revenue, budget preparations and financial trend analysis Review existing processes for improvement and develop new processes where gaps are identified Develop and manage preparation of general ledger reconciliations and responsibility for clearing of reconciliation items Improve existing ways of working by conducting thorough root-cause analyses of inherent process issues, and engage stakeholders where relevant to enable collaborative decision-making on agreed improvements Manage payments and customer accounts reconciliation Provide ad-hoc analysis to Management using commercial acumen and calling out key drivers for variances, and Attend to ad-hoc financial accounting related tasks as delegated by the Financial Controller What you'll need to succeed You are degree qualified in Accounting, Finance or Commerce and have CPA or CA membership or eligibility for membershipYou have significant experience in providing financial expertise and assistance to senior management, particularly in preparing annual budgets, long term financial planning and annual financial statements.Ability to provide expert advice on financial mattersExpert planning and reporting skillsAbility to engage with staff and external stakeholders readily and in a professional manner What you'll get in return You will be working in a progressive, positive, hardworking team Along with the above you will also receive:A highly competitive hourly rateWork in an environment where your opportunities for progression will not be held backFriendly, supportive, and dedicated our staff are our greatest assetMake a real difference to our community - achieve exceptional outcomes What you need to do now At Hays, we value diversity and are passionate about placing people in a role where they can flourish and succeed.
