The OpportunityWe are seeking passionate and experienced Teachers in Animal Studies Services to join our team at either Broadmeadows and Bendigo Campuses. In this role, you will deliver high-quality vocational education, training and competency-based assessment for our Certificate III in Animal Care Services (Pet Grooming).You will deliver training in a classroom, simulated workplace, and potentially online environments, preparing students for rewarding careers in animal care, training, and welfare sectors.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop and deliver engaging learning programs and resources for animal studies coursesCreate authentic learning experiences that reflect current industry practicesUse training packages and accredited courses to meet student and industry needsFacilitate hands-on, practical training whilst following ethical practices in animal handling, care, and welfareIdentify and address student learning needs, including language, literacy, and numeracy supportDesign and implement valid and reliable assessment toolsAssess student learning and competence across various animal studies contextsParticipate in assessment validation activitiesMaintain industry currency through professional networks and industry engagementEstablish and maintain relationships with animal care industry partnersPromote BKI's animal studies programs to potential students and industry stakeholdersContribute to workforce development solutions in the animal care sectorComply with national VET quality standards and relevant legislationMaintain accurate student records and assessment documentationParticipate in quality improvement and compliance activitiesAbout YouCertificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116 or equivalent)Previous industry experience in animal care, training, or related fieldCertificate III in Animal Care Services (Pet Grooming)Current Working with Children CheckDemonstrated knowledge of animal handling, welfare, and care practicesExperience in training delivery or mentoring preferred
