Full Job Description This is a full-time position based in Hobart.
As a vital member of the team, you will play an essential role in ensuring financial compliance, and providing actionable insights for decision-making.
Key Responsibilities Analyze the company's actual performance against business plans, offering financial and taxation advice on business structures, plans, and operations.
Summarize the current financial status by gathering information, preparing a balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other financial reports.
Interpret financial information for the director and recommend further courses of action.
Provide assurance regarding the accuracy of information in financial reports and their compliance with statutory requirements, and develop budget and accounting policies that align with the company's strategy.
Oversee payroll processing and tax compliance, calculate leave entitlements and salary variances, and update employee details.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure financial transparency and accuracy, and reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
Monitor data integrity within accounting software and system, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of financial information and maintaining internal control systems.
Identify opportunities to enhance financial processes and implement best practices.
Key Requirements Minimum a Bachelor Degree in Accounting or equivalent Minimum 3 years experience in a similar role Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite High attention to detail and ability to work under pressure Professional accounting qualification (CPA, CA, or equivalent) is highly desirable Strong verbal and written communication skills
