Where You Can Work
We have multiple locations where you can work from:
* Our flagship campus in Sydney
* A campus in Melbourne
* Co-working spaces in Brisbane, Perth, and Adelaide
You'll have the flexibility to choose where and how you work, whether that's in the office, from home, or a combination of both.
What You'll Do
As part of our team, you'll be working on exciting projects that drive innovation and growth. Some examples of your responsibilities will include:
* Designing, developing, and deploying solutions to challenging problems
* Collaborating with engineers and product managers to deliver features for Internationalization and make a global impact
* Working closely with leads, product managers, and engineers across Canva to unblock frontend work required for your group to achieve their goals
* Facilitating knowledge sharing and effectively advocating for engineering needs to non-technical stakeholders within the group
* Demonstrating initiative and ownership in achieving goals, improving processes, and solutions
* Identifying opportunities for cross-team collaboration to work on new ideas and improvements that help achieve our goals
What We're Looking For
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
* Commercial experience in a software development environment, building scalable backend systems
* Proficiency in Java and a strong foundation in computer science and engineering fundamentals
* Excellent writing and verbal communication skills
* The ability to work collaboratively with team members and communicate optimally
* Experience in training, deploying, or scaling machine learning models to production environments is a plus
About the Team
The Internationalization Team at Canva is a dynamic and innovative group responsible for delivering world-class localized experiences to users in over 100 languages and regions worldwide.
Our team works closely with Canva's Localization team to develop and execute international growth strategy, maintain critical infrastructure, workflows, and support services, and enable Canva to reach a global audience.
