About the Role: Grade Level (for internal use): 13 The Team: S&P Global Market Intelligence is seeking a highly consultative senior sales contributor and leader to join the Private Markets Solutions team. This individual should be an energetic and client-focused seller. It is imperative that the candidate be viewed by clients as a credible advisor and consultant as well as a business development executive. Our target market is the dynamic and growing Private Markets (Private Equity, Direct Lending, Real Estate, Venture/Growth, FOF, and Institutional Investors). Responsibilities and Impact: Drive expected value out of target region/market across various segments of Private Markets in Australia and New Zealand. Identify and qualify prospects via targeted networking, internal Sales Development Resources, regional leadership initiatives, existing client relationships, phone prospecting, and email. Continually develop new prospects to build and manage a sustainable pipeline of opportunities. Identify the prospect buying behavior and orient our proven sales process for the prospect to drive the prospect toward a decision. Engage across the prospect to align the organization around the value of private markets solutions. Uncover key components of value for the various prospect stakeholders to drive 'Why' the prospect is interested in SPG MI Private Markets Solutions and demonstrate how we can solve the prospect's business issues. Work closely with our Pre-Sales Engineers team to demonstrate the business case, facilitate information gathering, and match that to the prospects' needs through multiple in-person, social, and professional engagements. Report to the APMEA Head of Private Markets Solutions. Collaborate across all teams (services, training, support, and product). This is a senior position within our team with responsibility for new business across our customer segment, and potential to expand into a leadership role covering several countries within the Asia Pacific portfolio. This role is focused on new customer acquisition, as well as cross-selling existing S&P Global MI customers with our Solutions capabilities. Our offering includes industry-leading software, data services, and investment management capabilities across the front-to-back office lifecycle for private markets. The Private Markets Solutions sales team is a fast-paced, highly collaborative, and results-driven group within S&P Global's most strategic and fastest growing division. We are looking for an experienced sales specialist who is passionate about customer relationships and strategic selling. The role is focused on executing our sales strategy to accelerate the growth of our General and Limited Partner customer base. What We're Looking For: Basic Required Qualifications: Minimum of 10 years' experience working as a sales specialist focusing on new customer acquisition. Native or business proficiency in English. Experience and connections in private capital markets are essential. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with an aptitude for consultative-selling techniques. Ability to manage complex sales and client negotiations. Strong time management and project management skills. Team player and willing to progress in a rapidly growing environment. Ability to inspire and influence peers and colleagues across the firm. Exceptional organization skills. Ability to work collaboratively within a matrix organization, and if applicable, direct leadership skills in managing a team. Additional Preferred Qualifications: Software Solutions selling experience. Experience with portfolio management software such as eFront, Burgiss, etc. Network of Investment Managers, PE contacts (e.g., asset management firms, investment consulting firms, pension funds, insurance companies). Previous working experience utilizing Salesforce as a CRM.
