The COFFEE CLUB PACIFIC FAIR is operated by THEOMART HOLDINGS PTY LTD. The Coffee Club Pacific Fair provides dine-in arrangements for breakfast, lunch, and for birthdays, anniversaries, business breakfasts and lunches etc. Our baristas serve up our excellent blend of coffee, and our waiters deliver your familiar favourites and our newest creations directly from the kitchen. We are a HACCP-certified restaurant.
About the Role
We are seeking 3 full-time Chefs to join our kitchen team with a can-do attitude, a focus on safety, and a passion for great food and service. Australian Citizens or Permanent Residents are preferred.
Requirement for the Role:
* Australian Recognised Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or Equivalent as your role will include guiding, supervising and training our apprentice.
* Team leadership skills and self-motivation
* 2 years minimum Experience
* Attention to detail and personal/ professional pride
* Experience in a busy cafe / restaurant environment
* Ability to work alone and as a team.
* Knowledge of current Food safety standards and be able to follow strict hygiene procedures.
* Be able to stand for long periods of time and be able to meet the physically demanding requirements of a kitchen roll.
* 7-day availability with the ability to work on weekends & public holiday.

Tasks & Responsibilities:
* Prepare and cooking high quality food according to menu guidelines, recipes and presentation.
* Prepare food to order and cater to allergies and dietary requirements, including vegetarian, vegan and gluten free food etc.
* Monitoring and cooking a variety of dishes using different cooking methods.
* Examine food to ensure quality and presentation.
* Daily preparation of all ingredients, quality control and rotation.
* Ensuring stock is rotated, checked and stored correctly.
* Discussing food preparation issues with managers, kitchen and waiting staff.
* Effective communication with management and other staff members.
* Ordering of food ingredients, undertake clean-ups and all other duties as required.
* Training of kitchen staff including any apprentices and trainees.
* Follow correct hygiene food handling practices in accordance with HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points)
* Maintaining occupational health and safety procedures.
* Continuous practice of safety and hygiene in the workplace
Benefits & Remuneration:
* Salary commensurate with experience. $74,000 to $76,000 plus guaranteed superannuation.
