This position will plan, manage and support the day-to-day transport operations for both our Roma (QLD) and Barrow Island (WA) Logistics Divisions. Leading a dedicated national team of FIFO/DIDO Transport workers, this individual will come with proven experience in a similar leadership role.This role will be suited to someone who thrives in high-pressure environments with competing deadlines and enjoys the adrenaline rush that goes with this industry. This individual must be reliable, possess problem-solving capabilities and a flair for multi-tasking and managing their own time and workload.The PositionManagement and scheduling of Ensign transport, drivers, subcontractors and camp assets on a national basis to maximise the efficiency of the dedicated fleet and subcontractor use.Development and continuous review of asset utilisation strategy to maximise the use of assets and value add to Ensign.Train, develop, coach and support the Transport team to ensure knowledge and skills are relevant and applicable.Complete and maintain any National Heavy Vehicle Accreditation Scheme (NHVAS) Administration.Represent the Company in both Government and private Transport related forums and the IADC rig move chapter.Prepare and coordinate Government Transport Permits Applications, Insurance and other required legal documentation.Understanding of government legislation and interpretation and ensuring safe and compliant operations.Oversee and coordinate maintenance & servicing scheduling for the Australia fleet of vehicles.Liaising with third-party operators and customers to build strong relationships.Identifying opportunities for promotion and development of business and ways to increase revenue streams.Monitoring all driver/transport compliance and safety requirements.Ensure daily reporting is completed accurately and in a timely manner.Maintaining compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and standards.Data entry and various administrative tasks.About You5+ years of proven experience managing transport operations in the resources sector or similar heavy industry.Preferred - Tertiary qualification(s) in Logistics, Transport or Supply Chain Management or relevant discipline or extensive experience in Transport related positions.Strong safety leadership qualities.Strong commercial acumen, influencing and negotiation skills.Demonstrate strong relationship building at all levels within the business.High level of written and verbal communication skills.Highly organised with the ability to work calmly and efficiently in a high-pressure environment.Passionate about teamwork and a good sense of humour.Able to work autonomously and manage own workload.Possess a positive and solution-focused attitude.Have a continuous improvement mindset.Proficiency in MS Office suite of products.IVMS Knowledge (Preferred).What you'll get in returnFull-time Position with competitive Remuneration Package commensurate with experience.Workplace flexibility and autonomy to really make the role your own.Working within a fun, collaborative and dynamic national team.Supportive leadership group.'No day ever being the same' environment.Opportunity for additional training to further develop your skills.Regular Company provided Employee Appreciation events.Expanded Services through Ensign Employee Assistance Program.Due to the nature of our 24/7 Operations, there are some requirements for out of hours work to support the team.
