Mater Group is looking for a Strategic Asset Manager to join our Development and Infrastructure Business Unit.
This permanent, full-time role can be based at Mater Newstead, Townsville or Rockhampton and reports into our Executive Director Development and infrastructure.Salary: Commensurate with experience plus superannuation and + What you'll be doingMater has an extensive property portfolio across Queensland, including land, commercial spaces, buildings and 11 Hospitals as well as extensive equipment assets.
The Strategic Asset Manager plays a key role in managing and optimising the performance and risk of Mater's assets to ensure sustainability throughout the asset's lifecycle.This role will lead the development and maintenance of Mater's Asset Management Frameworks, Strategic Asset Management Plans, Annual Asset Management Plans, and be integral in the preparation of the Annual Investment Plan ensuring efficient utilisation of resources to derive the best value.This role plays a pivotal role in shaping the direction and success of our asset portfolio, ensuring alignment with the strategic vision and contributes to Mater's sustainable growth and development.The Strategic Asset Manager will interface strongly with all levels of the business, property functions and Engineering & Maintenance to drive improved value, reliability, performance, safety and whole-of -life cost efficiency for Mater's asset portfolio.For more information specific to the role, please view the PD here – About youYou will have tertiary qualification in engineering, project management, construction management or asset management or related industry.
You will also meet the below criteria: Demonstrated industry experience in strategic asset managementPrevious experience in a Hospital or live operating environmentDemonstrated success in delivering asset management within a large organisation.Demonstrated experience in effectively managing relationships with stakeholders, both internal and externalProven ability to work independently and as part of a larger multi-disciplinary teamAbility to effectively prioritise workloads within competing demandsPrevious experience with building construction projectsHigh level of communication and negotiation skills Why join us?
