Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to join our team at Western Sydney Local Health District (WSLHD). As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide advanced, autonomous, and collaborative care to consumers in the Emergency Department.
Key ResponsibilitiesConduct comprehensive mental health assessments and crisis interventionsPrescribe and implement therapeutic interventions, including medications and non-pharmacological treatmentsDevelop individualised recovery plans with consumers and collaborate with their support networksDocument assessments, interactions, and outcomes comprehensivelyAdvocate for consumers' rights and participate in clinical meetings, staff education, and quality improvement activitiesRequirementsCurrent Registration as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) including endorsement as a Nurse Practitioner or working towards same as per NMBA Guidelines on endorsement as a Nurse PractitionerPost Graduate qualifications at master's level in Mental Health Nursing within an NMBA approved program of study or evidence of working towards attainmentWhat We OfferAs a valued member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, with access to professional development and growth opportunities.
