This is initially a 6-month contract.About the role:Plan, oversee, coordinate, and inspect the work of Grounds Maintenance personnel in the planting, cultivation, irrigation, and care of various grounds landscape plants and ground coversSupervise pest and weed control spraying, pruning, tree trimming, and minor tree surgeryDirect the preparation of facilities for various events and specialized grounds assignmentsSupervise the maintenance, repair, installation, and modification of irrigation systemsEstablish and adjust work schedules as requiredFacilitate Pre-Start Meetings providing clear instructions and guidance to grounds maintenance personnel to ensure effective task executionMentor and instruct staff in proper use of various types of equipment, including power mowers, saws, sprayers, line trimmers, shears, and other attachments used to maintain groundsLiaise daily with client representatives, building client relationshipsParticipate and be involved with cost control practices.Audit and monitor the quality of the team daily reporting.Provide assistance with Grounds Maintenance processes and procedures.Contribute to team planning meetings as requiredEffectively set expectations for behaviours and performance for all team membersPrepare for and manage all Health, Safety and Environment and Emergency Response situations, ensuring that all personnel are trained in all client and RRS safety and emergency protocolsEnsure all client and companies Quality, Health and Safety and Environmental policies and standards are complied with at all times, conducting regular safety inspections and training sessions.Requirements:Demonstrated minimum 2 years’ relevant experience in Grounds Maintenance SupervisionDemonstrated ability to lead teams to complete project timeframes in a safe mannerDemonstrated ability to interpret and read plansStrong understanding of the Pilbara region and relevant mining knowledge.Excellent understanding and high regard of health & safety obligationsExperience at all stages of the project life cycleProven experience in effectively leading and creating a proactive, safe, and supportive team culture.High-level culturally sensitive communication skillsDemonstrated ability to:Work effectively with and for Aboriginal peopleModel desired workplace behavioursEffectively resolve conflictDevelop and maintain positive and productive relationships with a spectrum of stakeholdersCurrent National Police Check (or ability to obtain)Roster:5 days on, 2 days off roster, however can be negotiated
