* Provide advice and thought leadership to ensure successful design and implementation of risk strategies
This is a key influencing and thought leadership role to build divisional risk maturity and increase leadership capability for risk-based decision making across Technology and Operations and across broader Suncorp business.
The purpose of the role is to lead the Technology and Operations (T&O) Function in meeting its objectives through the delivery of effective Risk Management services leveraging relevant Suncorp policies, frameworks and tools.
What you’ll do
* Acting as an Advisor and first point of contact for Executive General Managers (EGMs), Heads of (HO), and Executive Managers (EMs) on Risk Management Frameworks, operational risk and project risk related matters
* Independently leading the provisioning of operational and project risk consulting services to ensure policy/framework compliance, advise on improving the quality of deliverables and increased awareness and reduction of risk,
* Advising the T&O teams on appropriate risk responses and controls to address risk exposures including responses to audit and compliance actions
* Developing and managing the Technology and Operations control self-assessment program within a Portfolio (for example – Insurance, Infrastructure, Cyber Security etc.)
* Manage, oversee and/or lead the external and internal audits, asset health self-assessments, risk assessments, risk profile reviews, external party security assessments and risk control testing to help ensure T&O services are fit-for-purpose
What you’ll bring
* Certifications in Technology Risk Management or aligned areas
* 6 years’ experience working in the Financial Services industry
* 8+ years risk and compliance management or related experience
* Broad experience in technology risk related concepts and processes
* Ability to develop effective and trusted relationships with all stakeholders and influence behaviours
* Working knowledge of Regulatory requirements, interpretation of requirements into Business standards
