Could you be the Project Contract Manager that we’re looking for located in out Bellevue, WA operations?
Your Future Role:
Reporting to the Project Contract Manager Lead for the Services Product Line, you will work closely with the Project Director as a key member of the project team. As the Project Contract Manager for the Metronet project, you will be accountable for leading the development, implementation and driving proactive contract management and risk mitigation strategies, in alignment with Alstom’s business objectives. This includes managing extensions of time (EOTs), variation orders, and contract amendments. As a contract and claims management expert, you will ensure meticulous record-keeping and robust file preparation for the project.
We’ll Look to You For:
1. Applying the contract, claims and insurance management manual and Alstom governance.
2. Collaborating with the core project team to prepare the Contract Management Strategy Plan.
3. Analysing the contract to build and drive the implementation of the contract and claims management strategy plan and continuously updating it on an ongoing basis with the project team.
4. Monitoring work to ensure compliance with contract obligations, including tracking the project schedule to meet contractual milestones.
5. Issuing contractual notices to customers and partners in a timely manner.
6. Establishing and implementing project-specific commercial procedures, particularly regarding correspondence, notifications, insurance, variation requests/orders, and claims preparation.
7. Monitoring and managing correspondence by analysing incoming and outgoing communications with customers and partners.
8. Developing and producing project-specific processes and methods for contract/claim management.
9. Anticipating events and risks associated with contract management activities and proposing alternative proactive solutions to maintain control.
10. Developing a pragmatic commercial approach based on contractual analysis to protect Alstom’s interests with customers and partners.
11. Working closely with the project team to identify and mitigate risks, and to identify, maximize, and leverage claim opportunities.
All About You:
12. Tertiary degree in Law, Engineering, or Quantity Surveying.
13. Extensive experience in contract and claims management in the delivery of railway, infrastructure or construction projects.
14. Ability to anticipate and manage conflicting priorities.
15. Strong knowledge and experience with Contract Management and Project Management tools and systems.
16. Capability to be operationally effective and accountable.
