Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable and Payroll Manager to join our finance team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for owning the accounts payable function, including end-to-end processing of a medium volume of AP invoices, credit card reconciliations, and 3-way matching of purchase orders to invoices to payments.
In addition, you will serve as the primary liaison with our outsourced payroll provider on all payroll-related matters, including new starters and leavers, remuneration changes, sales commissions, STP, PAYG, payroll tax, superannuation, and leave entitlements.
Key Responsibilities:
* Owning the accounts payable function, including end-to-end processing of a medium volume of AP invoices
* Credit card reconciliations
* Create purchase orders and send them to the supplier once approved
* Reconcile supplier invoices and statements
* Liaising with the warehouse & operations staff to order stock consumables, and with the broader business regarding office supplies
* Responsible for 3-way matching of purchase order to invoice to payment
* Update daily cash flow with AP data
* Prepare and process AP payment runs
* Respond to and resolve internal and external account inquiries
* Contribute to month-end closing procedures
* Primary liaison with outsourced payroll provider on all payroll-related matters
Requirements:
* At least five years of AP experience, managing the full function with limited input from your manager
* Processed payroll at some point in your career and familiar with Australian payroll legislation & requirements
* Loyal team player with excellent tenure on your resume
* Excellent communication skills & confidence to liaise with all internal stakeholders
