Our Team
Our Munitions teams in Benalla and Mulwala produce propellants, explosives, and munitions for defence and commercial use. With ongoing investment into research and development, we produce some of the world’s most high-performing guided weapons and explosive ordnance systems. And being at the forefront of a rapidly evolving industry gives our teams constant opportunities to build on their technical expertise.
About the role
Reporting to the HSE Manager and partnering with the production team, the Process Engineer provides risk and engineering services to support safe production. Under the guidance of Senior Process Safety Engineer, develop your experience in ammunition and explosives manufacture to support a Major Hazard Facility (MHF).
Working at our sites in Mulwala - Yorta Yorta land, the purpose of this role is to
* Provide Hazard Identifications, Risk Assessment and Control processes to craft opportunities for ongoing improvement
* Offer advice to production, maintenance and project engineering staff on risk engineering and management
* Plan, review, prepare and support process safety assessment workshops
* Prepare and review documentation used within assessment workshops
* Review and prepare reports defining deficiencies within the technical plant, equipment, and maintenance manuals in preparation for facility MHF systematic safety assessment workshops
Ideally, from day one, you will hold:
* A Tertiary qualification in either chemical, mechanical, process engineering, or industrial chemistry
* Understanding processing chemical plant engineering design principles, reliability and risk control
* Must be eligible for Australian Defence clearance (http://www.defence.gov.au/AGSVA/)
