With a commitment to innovation and operational excellence, this organisation plays a vital role in distributing water, maintaining irrigation infrastructure, and facilitating water trading for its members.About the RoleAs the Chief Operating Officer (COO), you will oversee a competent leadership team, managing the efficiency and effectiveness of supply and drainage infrastructure. You will lead the team in asset maintenance and ensure the successful delivery of Capital Works and Maintenance Programs. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), the COO will also oversee the long-term alignment between the asset management program and a substantial investment portfolio designated for this purpose.Key ResponsibilitiesManage operational activities, including infrastructure, capital works and maintenance programs.Ensure compliance with EPA and Department of Environment reporting requirements.Lead the team in implementing change management strategies to enhance organisational efficiency.Contribute to the Executive Management Group (EMG).Implement and oversee Total Channel Control, water ordering, and accounting systems.Qualifications and ExperienceTertiary qualifications in agriculture, engineering, water, or environmental fields are preferred.Significant leadership experience in a relevant role, with a strong track record in operational management.Proven expertise in project management and the implementation of change management strategies.Exceptional communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team.A negotiable salary package, commensurate with experience, will be offered to the successful candidate.How to ApplyIf you are a strategic thinker dedicated to operational excellence in the irrigation industry, we invite you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
