Click HERE to express your interest in upcoming mental health careers About the role: The Aged Psychiatric Assessment & Treatment Team (APATT) is part of the Goulburn Valley Area Mental Health Service.The Senior APATT Clinician reports to the APATT Manager, and is responsible for providing leadership and clinical expertise to older people and their families accessing the APATT service.The Senior APATT Clinician is responsible for the provision of care and treatment to consumers of Goulburn Valley Area Mental Health Services that is alert to, respectful of and responsive to the views and needs of consumers, families, carers and their culture and community. The Senior APATT Clinician must be able to work autonomously and productively with other members of the multi-disciplinary team to maximise team objectives and maintain a high standard of clinical care. The role is responsible for providing leadership and clinical care across the Aged Psychiatric Assessment & Treatment Team(APATT), as well as providing clinical and operational support to the APATT leadership team. The APATT Senior Clinician will be primarily responsible for the provision of specialist comprehensive mental health assessments with older people and their families, supervision of less experienced clinicians and the provision of outreach services across the catchment area therefore travel and working across locations may be involved.
