A rewarding opportunity currently exists for a Training Co-ordinator to join our Sibanye Stillwater Australia team based on site at the Century Mine (Lawn Hill). This position will be offered as a permanent role on a FIFO basis - 15 days on /13 days off roster. Training Co-ordinator will be responsible for: Monitoring and leading the implementation of company policies, programs and initiatives related to OHS&T systems, including management or performance of the work necessary to ensure adherence to safety regulations, completion of safety training and attainment of business values and objectives. Key Accountabilities shall include: The key accountabilities of this role will be developed according to the business needs of the company, and to achieve their effective delivery certain skills will be required. As a starting point the expectation for the Training Co-ordinator are as follows: Assist with the development of the site Safety and Health Management System; Lead and deliver training requirement in accordance with the Training Needs Analysis (TNA), Deliver training including Resources and Infrastructure units to maintain the needs of the TNA, Maintain and manage site data to ensure compliance with Safety and Health Management System. Coordinate and planning of mining activities in accordance with the Safety Health Management System. Lead and actively work with all employees to understand the requirements of the site Safety and Health Management System. Ensure the training and assessment activities are delivered in line with the approved training framework / management plan to meet the operational requirements. Develop, write, and implement various documents such as management plans, TNA, procedures, safe work instructions, training packages, policies, forms, flowcharts, registers, matrices, etc. Manage and maintain and accurate and full account of all requisite statutory records, both hard and electronic copies commensurate with the site roles (e.g. TNA data, assessments, inductions). Continually monitor and manage training requirements of operators to ensure compliance with training and competency requirements. Provide advice and practical support to Senior Leadership team and personnel on site for all training and assessment aspects of the mining operation. Liaise with Registered Training Organisation (RTO) and develop affiliate agreement with external provider and ensure scope of training is monitored annual against TNA. Fulfil all obligations under Mining and Quarrying Safety and Health Act 1999 and Mining and Quarrying Safety and Health Regulation 2017. Applicants shall possess the following technical, interpersonal skills, knowledge, and qualifications: Technical: Proficient in managing databases for incident and hazard management, safety statistic reporting, and generating detailed safety performance reports. Skilled in coordinating and maintaining site access controls, including inductions and drug and alcohol testing protocols. Experienced in leading and training Emergency Response Teams, ensuring readiness for emergency situations in compliance with site safety standards. Knowledge: Strong understanding of Safety Management Systems, with the ability to proactively implement, maintain, and improve safety measures across sites. Well-versed in risk assessment processes, workplace audits, and compliance inspections to ensure adherence to safety regulations and contractor compliance. In-depth knowledge of conflict resolution techniques, enabling the effective management of difficult or stressful situations. Experience: 5 years’ experience in mining. 3 years’ experience in a training assessor role or similar. Experience operating mining and surface earthmoving equipment. Experience in managing a team and working with contractors. Education, Qualifications, Tickets, Licences: Qualifications in Occupational Health & Safety (or associated field). · Qualifications in Training and Assessment (Cert IV or higher) highly regarded. Relevant training and assessment competencies. Qualifications or experience in auditing desirable. Senior First Aid. Current C Class Driver license (HR highly regarded).
