About the Opportunity
Join our highly respected National Ecology team! We are expanding and seeking two Ecologist for our Adelaide office. The ideal candidate will have experience in ecological consulting with developing skills in surveys, reporting, and assessments. We seek passionate individuals committed to delivering high-quality outcomes. About You
* A degree/post-graduate qualification in environmental science, botany, zoology (or similar)
* Demonstrated experience in planning, coordinating, and undertaking flora and fauna surveys in South Australia
* Wildlife handling experience (i.e. with bats; small ground-dwelling mammals; reptiles; amphibians) are highly regarded
* Strong flora identification skills are highly regarded
* An ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with a range of stakeholders including, and not limited to, clients, government agencies and fellow team members
* Demonstrated experience in the collection and interpretation of ecological and spatial data
* Strong verbal and written communication skills including prior experience in assisting with the preparation of reports
* Prior experience and/or knowledge of South Australian and Commonwealth environmental legislation is highly regarded
* A high level of motivation and self-direction
* Be willing to work flexible hours and travel for work
