ABOUT THE ROLE As a Registered Nurse, your responsibilities will include: Preparing patients for surgery, preparing anaesthesia equipment, and assisting in anaesthesia administration; Providing patient care and recovery, and monitoring vital signs post-op; Providing evidence-based care; Liaising with the multi-disciplinary team; Ensuring patient and staff safety; Supervising, directing and supporting your team members to deliver family-centred care; Delivering education and support to individuals/patients for the management of their care. CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS Current Registration with AHPRA; Working with Children check; Commitment to Quality Patient Care; Compliance with ACQSHC National standards; Proven and sound clinical decision-making and problem-solving skills; Ability to work well independently and within a team; Excellent communication and customer service skills; Proficient computer skills. ABOUT THE FACILITY The hospital, located in Hobart, is a fully accredited facility with 146 beds providing a unique range of acute services, including general surgery, specialty care in orthopaedics, urology, gynaecology, breast, colorectal, oral, vascular, plastics, obesity surgery, and select surgery for paediatrics. The Maternity suites are designed on the contemporary labour/deliver/recover model, fitted with state-of-the-art technology, including K2 fetal monitoring systems, and provide various resources used during childbirth.
