About the Role
As a Chef Manager at one of our care homes you will providelead the provision of well presented, nutritious meals that meet Residentdining needs in a home like environment. You will ensure excellence at alltimes, whilst adhering to all related quality standards and regulations
Duties
6. Ensure the efficient and high-quality functioning of the kitchen and catering service
7. Review all feedback from residents and act accordingly to resolve any issues
8. Manage safe and correct processes in food purchasing, storage, handling, and preparation
9. Oversee the washing, preparation, and cooking of all foods, including vegetables, soups, sauces gravies, main dishes, desserts, sandwiches, salads, bread, and rolls
10. Ensure that all meals are prepared fresh daily utilising seasonal produce
11. Implement infection control principles and practices as per infection control policies
12. Complete charts/ forms promptly and correctly as per duty list and Quality & Assurance Processes
13. Identify training needs and requirements of Catering Staff - this includes changes to processes or resident requirements, introduction to new equipment safety or environmental regulations
14. Work as an effective team leader by maintaining a positive attitude, respect, and communication with all members of the Catering team
Skills and Experience
15. Previous experience in a similar role
16. Budget Management
17. Understanding of Food Audits
18. Hotel/Restaurant experience desirable but not essential
19. Demonstrated ability to work within a multidisciplinary team
20. Demonstrated ability to effectively liaise with stakeholders
21. Effective time management and organisational skills
