The role
supports a variety of work in the South Region of NSW – this encompasses an area from Wollongong to the Victorian border, out to Wagga and the Murray River region.
We have offices at a number of locations in the area and encourage people regionally based in New South Wales to apply as we have flexible working arrangements available.
About you
Just like us, you share our passion for making things better every day by providing sound advice and guidance to stakeholders around their planning applications, to achieve the best outcomes and accurate timely information, adhering to NSW’s planning and development objectives. You will need to be able to build rapport and develop strong stakeholder relations across multiple internal and external sources. You will need to leverage these relationships to seek the appropriate advice and information required to inform your decisions, as well as negotiate outcomes and overcome challenges.
You need to have the ability to review multiple development applications, in a time critical environment and assess their transport impacts – this requires high level problem-solving, creativity, and a refusal to accept things at face value.
You must have experience in Transport Planning, Urban and Regional Planning, or Development Engineering, but we will also consider people from other backgrounds with relevant skills and experience particularly those with well-developed critical thinking skills. In this role, you can expect to operate with a high degree of autonomy while reporting to a Team Leader and working as a supportive team member. You will need to hold a full driving licence with the capacity to travel across the region when required.
This is a part time temporary opportunity is offered until 8th January 2025 - 4 days per week.
