Business Unit Overview
Our Operations unit is the engine room of Superloop - responsible for maintaining and supporting all of our products and internal technical infrastructure to ensure the best possible service to both our customers and our very own business.
Our Operations unit is responsible for ensuring that the business has the technical capability and capacity to deliver services to all Superloop customers ranging from Home Broadband to International Wholesale.
Role Purpose
The Business Development Manager is responsible for identifying and capitalising on new business opportunities within the wholesale market.
The role involves driving the acquisition of new clients and developing relationships with key decision makers to expand Superloop's client base.
The Business Development Manager will be a key player in achieving strategic goals through the identification of business opportunities, negotiation, and finalisation of deals, while fostering long-term customer relationships and ensuring market competitiveness.
Key Responsibilities
Build, maintain and grow the Wholesale customer portfolio to meet sales targets.
Develop a pipeline of opportunities and manage them to closure, through responding to RFP's, customer quote requests, preparing business cases, and utilising the Superloop product portfolio.
Provide regular sales reports and opportunity forecasts.
Analyse market trends and competitor activities to inform account growth strategies.
Manage multiple strategic initiatives simultaneously, engaging with internal & external stakeholders.
Ensure that customer operational & commercial outcomes are fulfilled via the utilization of Superloop products and services.
Qualifications and Experience
A background in new Business Development / Account Management / Technical Solution Sales.
Experience operating within the IT / Telecommunications industry, and particularly adept at understanding and selling connectivity services.
Demonstrated experience managing high-value accounts while ensuring profitability and long-term relationships.
Competent at presenting and negotiating with C-Level executives and senior decision makers.
Adept in operating with G-Suite and/or Microsoft Office suite applications.
Strong commercial acumen with the ability to understand and communicate value propositions effectively.
Ability to build strong internal relationships, and influence stakeholders of different functions and levels.
Time management skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines under pressure.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate to people in a range of positions.
Excellent negotiating skills.
The attitude to win collaboratively.
Ability to self-motivate and work independently.
