Our footprint in the Tasmanian landscape is set to increase significantly in 2025, with a new entertainment, food and beverage precinct set to open! This new precinct will include the creation of a world-class 28 bay driving range and an extraordinary mini golf facility, plus a café, bar and quick service restaurant, it is set to redefine the leisure experience at Country Club and create lasting memories for guests of all ages.
What you can expect in a day in the role:
Our passionate team have created delicious and seasonal on-trend menus to cater for all culinary tastes. We now need creative, passionate, hard-working chefs to deliver these excellent menus and offerings in any the following roles:
* Production of Sandwich/Salads across our cold offerings section,
* Patisserie experience specialising in desserts,
* Additional Cook or Commis Chef in a generalised position
As members of the team, you will deliver a menu of fresh, local and modern cuisine for the all-day dining options including breakfast, lunch and dinner, take-away offerings and a range of exciting food offerings for all various events, celebrations and functions.
Tasks will include but not be limited to:
* Assist the senior chefs in preparing a variety of meals according to menu and orders
* Work efficiently to ensure timely delivery of dishes to guests
* Comply with safety and health policies, procedure and role responsibilities
* Setup and cleaning of kitchen
What you’ll bring to the role:
To be successful in this role you will have the ability to work autonomously and as a part of a team while being able to perform the physical duties of the role. Our ideal candidates will bring:
* An enthusiastic and motivated approach to work and the ability to work in a high-paced kitchen.
* Good communication and time management skills with high attention to detail
* The flexibility and willingness to work a variety of shifts across a 24 hour/7-day roster.
* Australian working rights that allow you to work Full-Time hours or more per week
* Ideally 2 years’ experience or more working in a similar position as a cook or Commis chef in a busy fast-paced kitchen.
* You’ll also ideally have a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery
An appointee to this role may be subject to pre-employment and ongoing screening checks.
